Qaiser Nawab Calls on Deputy Chairman Senate Syed Aal Khan Nasar

Islamabad, December 4: Qaiser Nawab, President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), met Deputy Chairman Senate Syed Aal Khan Nasar at his chamber in the National Assembly of Pakistan to discuss strengthening collaboration and advancing Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects.

During the meeting, Mr. Nawab briefed the Deputy Chairman on BRISD’s efforts to bolster Pakistan-China friendship and highlighted his recent participation at COP-29 in Azerbaijan, where he represented Pakistan’s youth and climate priorities. He emphasized BRISD’s role in promoting sustainable development and aligning with the flagship China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

Deputy Chairman Nasar commended Mr. Nawab’s efforts in showcasing Pakistan’s potential on international forums. He praised BRISD’s contributions to fostering bilateral ties with China and acknowledged CPEC’s transformative impact in Balochistan, particularly in improving infrastructure, employment opportunities, and regional connectivity.

“Mr. Nawab’s work underscores the dynamic role of Pakistan’s youth in driving meaningful progress,” said Mr. Nasar. “The contributions of CPEC to Balochistan’s development are profound, and I fully support initiatives that empower our communities and strengthen Pakistan-China relations.”

The Deputy Chairman also stressed the importance of youth involvement in policymaking and assured his support for BRISD’s mission. Both leaders agreed to work on collaborative efforts to maximize the benefits of CPEC and other development projects for the people of Pakistan.
