MASSI YAHUKIMO– The Task Forces of the Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Yahukimo Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Friday, 5 July 2024, in the context of regional security duties, the Marines Task Forces carried out a patrol by visiting and greeting residents in the Massi Village, Dekai District.
The Commander of the Marines Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Rismanto Manurung, has left a message to the Soldiers who will carry out patrol duties on that Friday, that every Soldier should use their assignment for positive things, not just carrying out duties on a daily basis. It seems that LTCol Rismanto’s message was immediately answered with the initiative and creativity of the Soldiers, by communicating and inserting National Insight during the patrol.
When the Soldiers passed several residents on the patrol route, while still prioritizing the security aspect, they asked politely to communicate and the Massi residents responded enthusiastically. In the Social Communication (Komsos), the Soldiers included the presentation of National Insight with the theme “Every Citizen has an Important Role in realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045”. Hearing this statement, a man, named Thomas Erainka, immediately responded, “Siap, Papua is safe. Glorious Indonesia”.
“The creativity of the Marines Task Forces in holding a patrol by inserting National Insights in the Massi Village, is a form of the TNI’s efforts to maintain conducive security in the Papua region,” said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
