ILAGA PUNCAK– The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently carrying out mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Tuesday, 23 July 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Ilaga Post led by Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, implemented the results of Social Communication with Community Figures in the Kago Village, Ilaga District, along with the Leader and Staff of the Kingmi Ebenezer Kago Church, to hold community service in cleaning of the church and its surroundings.
In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of the 323 Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces’ attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, since Monday (15/7), the Territorial Officer of the 323 Task Forces, Second Lieutenant Dani, had conducted Social Communication with the Kago Village Community Figures along with the Leader and Staff of the Kingmi Ebenezer Kago Church, regarding plans to clean the church. After discussion, they agreed that the cleaning time would be on Tuesday (23/7) morning at the Church.
After preparations, the Soldiers with the community were ready to conduct the cleaning. All residents and the Soldiers were enthusiastic about the cleaning, which was the first time involving community members and the Soldiers who were on duty in Papua. The entire environment inside and outside the Church could not be separated from the touch of the hands of the Soldiers and community members. After the activity, Mr. Welianus Uamang, a Kago Village Community Figure, said “Thank you Commander 323, this is the first time the Task Forces and the community cleaned the Church together. God bless TNI.”
“The initiative of the 323 Task Forces in collaboration with the community to clean up the Kingmi Ebenezer Kago Church, is an effort by the TNI to conduct inclusive Social Communication with all residents in the Task Area, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region,” said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
